Green Energy Smoothie

I simply love this green smoothie, its loaded with amazing nutrients and always leaves me feeling great. I blanch my kale to make it more digestible and removes oxalates, plus it also helps the blender break it all up and turn it into a smooth smoothie. Then the added cinnamon helps stabilize blood sugar levels and reduce cravings along with the incredible healthy fats from the avocado. Now this isn’t a sweet smoothie you may want to add 1/2 banana to it if your prefer or for the kids.

INGREDIENTS

5-6 kale leaves destalked 1 apple 1/2 cucumber 1/2 avocado 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon juice from one lemon option 1/2 banana
SERVES: 1

Instructions
Remove the stalks of the kale and place in a bowl and pour over boiling water. Let it sit for a minute then drain.
Place kale, cucumber, apple and cinnamon into a blender and blitz up until smooth.
Enjoy!
