Mind Power

Just like your body requires resistance training to remain strong and toned, so to does your mind. If you don’t use it you lose it. Its important to continually challenge you mind through things that is resists….new motor skills, new words, new skills, new information. If you just ride through life eating junk food and just doing the same old thing everyday, the muscles in your body weaken and body becomes unfit. The same happens in your brain. Resistance training for you body strengthens and tones muscles, resistance training for your mind keeps you smart, alert and on to it :)

So start using your mind so that it to can stay ForeverFit!

Science suggests that no matter what age you are you can boost your memory and alertness. Also suggest that a healthy, well norished, active and educated person shows no sign of declining mental function with age. Just like muscles in the body as they decline and get weak if unused at any age, you can build them up to be strong at any age. The same goes for the brain.

So how do you exercise your mind so it stays ForeverFit?

Learn things, try a new skill, challenge yourself, read, take courses, be active, study, research, play, laugh, smile, think, interact with people that stimulate you, invigorate you and motivate you……….and above all eat a healthy clean diet!!!

Don’t spend your days, steering at TV screens, watching people you don’t like on FB, thinking negative thoughts about everything, gossiping, moaning, getting jealous or doing repetitive things you don’t enjoy and don’t challenge you. None of that is good, and none of that will make you truly happy.

Your body builds over 200,000 billion new cells a second, so if you can build brain cells at any age and make them strong you want to build them from food that makes the strongest cells possible right???

I have used the lumosity website. I just did the free trial but it was a fun way to train and enhance your brain with games and puzzles.
