This is one of those recipes where you get really stocked with the turn out, because it looks really fancy and complicate to make. However it is so easy! I couldn’t believe how cute they looked! The layers are created simply by the different weights of the ingredients, it doesn’t require any special touches but you will look very clever to others if you create these.



  • 1 cup blue berries
  • 1 whole banana
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 4 tablespoons gelatin
  • Honey optional

Construction Instructions

  1. Place blue berries, cold water and banana into a blender and blitz until smooth.
  2. In another bowl melt gelatin in the hot water till completely dissolved, then add to the blender.
  3. Pour into ramekins and place in the fridge to set.
  4. Enjoy!

The different layers happen just by them selves, when you blend the gelatin with the other ingredients a froth will start to form, then when it is setting the magic happens. - Nourishing Berry Jelly

    I just tried this and it didn’t work. No layers whatsoever. Haven’t tasted it yet but it certainly doesn’t look pretty.

      And it tastes yuck. All I can taste is gelatine. Are you sure that 4 Tbsp is the right amount?

        Hi NRH, oh no, thats no good. I have made this a few times and yes it has worked, so im not sure why it hasn’t worked for you, the taste is very dependent on your own sweet tooth. I personally don’t have much of a sweet tooth any more, so the honey is something that is optional, so you may not of added enough honey for your taste. Sorry it didn’t work out for you, atleast it will still be good for you :)
