Our Clean Eating Wedding Menu – Gluten Free

When I was hunting out for a good wedding caterer I knew what I was after in terms of food, I just had to find one local that could do it. I wanted food that felt special, that was affordable and it had to be clean eating/gluten free/paleo. So when we got in touch with the amazing Belinda from Lemongrass catering I knew I had found the perfect caterer.

I had approached a couple before hand and when asking for it to be gluten free it was just all to hard and going to make things way to complicated. Belinda just said no problem and we sat there one summer afternoon in her kitchen trying out all her gluten free combinations and the choices were endless. We had a few ideas in our own heads, but Belinda had such a wealth of combinations that it was just to easy and her ideas were so much more amazing than ours!

What made Belinda even better was the fact that when we went to visit her, she was one of our first appointments in regards to the wedding as we booked her a year out. So we had no plans no clue and were just starting the whole process. After leaving her it was as if we had just planned our wedding and got a vision in our head, she mapped us out a time line, gave us ideas of how to make things run smoothly and low and behold we had our wedding timeline all sorted and under control. It made us look very organized for the rest of the year.

So don’t think that wedding menu can’t be clean eating real whole food. If you are based in Tauranga get in touch with Belinda for any of your catering needs and if not, just ask your local caterer. There are so many amazing options you can create its just about thinking outside the square a little and a great caterer will do this.  Just ask. Here is a wee look at what Belinda created for us on the day, our wedding was rustic italian inspired. Italy played a huge part of our life for 4 years, so we wanted to create an italian inspired wedding that was a wee slice of who we are.

Antipasto
Garlic and lemon king prawn skewer
Smoked salmon with rocket, mint and almond pesto in cucumber cups
