Real Food Protein Rich Green Smoothie


This green smoothie has some added protein with the almonds and almond milk.  Protein burns slower than carbohydrates and I always recommend having protein with your smoothies as this helps prevent blood sugar spikes and helps prevent hunger pains. So this one is great as the protein is inside the smoothie.

Serves 2


  • 2 cups spinach, fresh
  • 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup soaked almonds


  1. Blend spinach and water until smooth. Then add the remaining fruits and blend again.
  2. For the nuts  soak overnight in water before blending, or you can use some soaked almond meal.
