A classic omelette, nothing beats it for a way to start your day. If you are wanting to turn your body into a fat burning machine, then breakfast is a must and protein is even more important. Try this breakfast out, and you are set to start your day off the best way possible.
I love kiwifruit. These kiwifruit date and walnut muffins are easy to make. During this time of the year it is perfect to use them as kiwifruit which are nice and cheap. Rainy Sunday afternoon, so what better time to make loads of baking and freeze some.
When we were in Vietnam last June, we went to this very cool cafe for breakfast and I ordered a western omelette. It was so good, so I recreated when I got home minus the dairy and it has become a pretty standard way to start my day. With exception to what I have in the fridge, ready to roll. Bacon usually only gets an appearance once a week. ;)
I have an explosion of silver beet (chard) in my garden so it is making its way into every meal somehow. Here is a really great way to start your day. This isn't really a recipe, more of a photo to show you that breakfast doesn't need to come out on a box.
What do you make with the left over vegetable pulp from the juicer?
You experiment with some muffins! These are so simple to make and I am sure you could make them with grate carrot instead of pulp. Let me know if you give it a go :)
It's amazing what you can create when you just mock something up. This has no grain, no dairy, no sugar. Good quality fats, carbohydrates and some protein. Simple, clean, definitely a real food for the whole family dam!
Oh my goodness! Can't believe this tastes and looks like a real cake. ;) Very happy with this creation! I made it in a round dish but you could make it in muffin tins, bread tin, or whatever works for you. Even cookies are possible. Might give that a go next time.
Want to have that warm feeling of porridge in the morning without the grains and dairy? This is a great way to start the day if you need that extra fuel to get going. Have a bowl of this with some extra protein on the side and away you go!
Yummy! These are great to start the day or to have as a snack in the fridge ready for you to eat post workout. I make a huge batch of these sort of things once a week. Really easy to make and great for you and anyone else in the family.
