Orange Pheasant Slow Cooker Recipe

When a friend offers you some whole pheasants and you have no idea what to do with them. You accept the challenge! Thats what happened on the weekend, I came home from my horse with 3 pheasants the look on bens face and then ellys was priceless!!! Simple Baked Fish with Basil and Garlic Dressing

 



This dinner is so fast to prepare, perfect for those nights when you can’t be bothered. Only takes 5 minutes of less to prep and only 10 to cook.  Great if you have just come home from work, you can prep, jump through the shower while its cooking and tadah! Its ready!
Ingredients
  • Fish
  • Onions
  • Basil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Lemon
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 160 C /320 F.
  2. Place fish onto some tin foil and add ontop of that fish a table spoon of coconut milk and a squeeze of lemon and the onions. Wrap up the fish well in the tinfoil.
  3. Place fish in oven and cook for approx 10-15 minutes depending on size of fillets
  4. While the fish is cooking, put into a blender a hand full of basil leaves, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and garlic. Blitz it up. Taste it and you can adjust the flavors by adding in more cider or oil or basil. 
  5. Check fish and remove once cooked. Serve up with basil, fish lemon and some spinach. 

 

 

Super Fast Seafood Dish

Seriously this takes less than 10 minutes to make. A super fast seafood dish for dinner and lunch the next day. I get the seafood marinara mix from countdown or a seafood market and its really affordable, I think this was $5 worth of seafood.

A really tasty dish too and easy to make more of if you want.

Caramalized Onion Sauce with Slow Cooked Pork

This Caramalized Onion Sauce with slow cooked pork is a great way to add flavor. I had some left over slow cooked pork. Slow cooking is the lazy way to prepare for the next day. I pretty much just pull something out of freezer and put it in slow cooker over night. This is then the next days lunch and dinner. Lazy ah!! So sometimes if im feeling like bringing in some flavor into that meat that night I might make up something like this. Would work with almost anything I reckon, but works really well with pork.
