You don’t have to look far to see some new supplements or shakes reassuring to help you cleanse and lose weight in 30 days. Nowadays, you don’t have to look anywhere since most of these multi-level marketing companies may even have your friends hooked in and on board trying to sell directly to you.

So how do you know if the product is right for you if everything sounds so compelling and sounds too good to be true? In this post I thought I would help you make those wiser choices and help you decide whether or not it’s right for you.

First and foremost, with everything that comes your way, you have to ask yourself “is this real food?”, “will my body know what to do with it?”

Why Is Real Food So Important?

Our bodies aren’t designed to be able to breakdown and digest preservatives, additives and chemically derived ingredients. Our body knows how to digest real food. These are foods that were around 100,000 years ago. These are what your grandma’s grandma used to eat. So when you eat foods with all these additives and preservatives in it, it’s not about the short term game. It’s not about the 30 days where you may or you may not lose weight. It’s about the long term effects this may have on your hormones, liver, adrenals, gut health and overall wellbeing.

When you consume foods that aren’t real foods, this is not only hard on your digestive system but also on your liver. A liver that is congested and overburdened has a hard time doing its real job. What actual changes are taking place and is this maintainable?

Now, I only touched on the liver, there’s so many other subject I could discuss that get affected by the food choices you make, from digestion, immunity, hormones, skin health, adrenals, thyroid and so much more. Just remember real food doesn’t need big marketing companies behind it. If you ever get torn and wonder if this product is really what is hyped up to be. Take a look at the ingredients. Are they from real whole food sources, do you know what each ingredient are. If you don’t, then don’t eat it. This simple question will help you make wise choices for your body and your family.
