Healing Bone Broth
Check out my post I did on bone broths and why they are so good for you. This is a very simple recipe. If you don’t have vinegar, don’t panic because this just helps soften the bones and helps to pull out the minerals into the broth. I got these bones from Countdown supermarket, I think it was $3.50 for a kg. There was still a lot of meat left on the bones, so we got a few meals out of the meat and then the broth lasts a long time. You can freeze it if you wish.

INGREDIENTS
Bones 1 large onion 3 bay leaves 1 cup apple cider vinegar Salt and pepper

I have some every day and its pretty great in the afternoon before starting to cook dinner. I freeze it in cup sizes so I can just pull some out whenever I need it. If there is none at the supermarket just ask the butcher for some either at the deli or your local butcher.
Put everything in the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-24 hours. The longer the better and the more chance of pulling all the minerals from the bones into the broth. I just did this overnight, so it was around 13 hours. Make sure you have it on low though, because boiling on high for too long can damage the gelatin.
